Remember the old woman who lived in a shoe? I'm a lot like her, with a husband and varying numbers of children in our 100-year-old farmhouse. This blog is about our lives.

No Words for This
As Emily says, tell me this is a bad dream and I'll wake up soon.
My brother called me this morning and told me his son, my 23-year-old nephew, took his own life last evening.
May the Lord sustain you as you live this nightmare. May you find comfort, shelter, and peace under the wings of the Everlasting Comforter. May He give you wisdom far beyond you as He in turn uses you to comfort your brother and his family.
when something like this happens i know that all the comforting words in the world don't change anything. So i'll just say that I'll be praying for you and your family.
I'm so sorry. Donna and I will keep you all in prayer. Of course you have no words...what words would be adequate? May the Lord of all comfort be with you and your family.
Oh Dorcas, I'm so sorry! I'm here sitting crying. This is such a hard, guilt-filled grief. Every one somehow feels responsible. Like they should have done more. I'm hugging you through cyber space. Sending my love, Edith
I know Dorcas you don't know us, but we read all your posts and are weeping with you this morning. Our God is great and He will be glorified. Glad you shared this and we'll pray for your family. Jim and Mary Herr in Pa.
Oh, wow, Dorcas!
