Remember the old woman who lived in a shoe? I'm a lot like her, with a husband and varying numbers of children in our 100-year-old farmhouse. This blog is about our lives.

With a name like. . .
I found this on Wikipedia today--a list of past and present Smucker's catchphrases.
I remember that and the good chuckle it brought.
ReplyDeletei've been wanting to ask you for a long time; Does Smucker rhyme with Tucker or with looker? I understand there are 2 different ways that people pronounce it. I'm guessing yours rhymes with Tucker, now that I've read this post........?? -PC in VA
ReplyDeletePC--I always say Smucker as in Tucker but there are others in the extended family who say it like looker. But I think I'd say the majority of Oregon Smuckers say Smucker/Tucker.
ReplyDeleteI just read the "Small Pucker" joke to my husband - we both enjoyed a laugh. My family of origin makes these jokes on purpose and they are part of family lore (we still like to eat "group freight" at breakfast. . .).
