"There's a direct correlation between understanding what goes on here on facebook and the amount of time you have to actually spend online, so it's probably better not to admit you know very much about it. If you want to seem like you have a life."
--Hillary, my niece, after I told her I don't understand 75% of what goes on on FB
Thats probably the truth. Ive been on over a year now and I dont begin to understand the thing. Whenever I write on someones wall it shows up on mine and then when I want something to show up on mine it doesnt and where should I go, what is my homepage, is it profile or home and which page are visitors seeing or do they see both...its all too confusing. Its a mess. Blogging is so much more sophisticated and intelligent.
ReplyDeleteYou know--I don't even have a facebook account yet, but since I viewed your pictures, I have gotten at least six invitations from people I know who want to be my friends on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteDorcas B--to my knowledge there's no way to follow footprints on FB pictures so the invitations must be from the sudden explosion of people on Facebook and not from being on my site....but I could be wrong.
ReplyDeleteHere's another quote (from over the pulpit) about Facebook during a talk about the history of Scripture: "The Bible has substance, unlike a Facebook post." Strangely enough, it was only the first couple of rows that laughed.
