Paul's sister Rosie over at Joyful Noise tells what it was like to take care of Jenny the weekend we were gone to Kevin and Brenda's wedding. It's interesting hearing about my child from someone else's perspective.
Quote of the Day:
Emily: EEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Me: What's wrong?
Emily: THERE'S MAGGOTS ON THE POTATOES!!!!!!
Me: Hmmm. Rinse them off.
Matt: Boy, after you're a mom for a while, certain things don't carry much significance.
I hope you didn't tell Emily to eat the potatoes!!!
ReplyDeleteActually, there was one bad potato in the bag and a few bugs and larvae had fallen onto a good potato below. Not maggots. Not worth a big fuss. Definitely not worth tossing all the other potatoes in the bag.
ReplyDeleteTossing the other potatoes, are you kidding? We're Mennonites!!
ReplyDeleteWell Dorcas, can I be nosy enough to ask what you've told your daughters about pants, etc.? If that's not something you want to get into here, I understand. : )
ReplyDeleteSheryl--I tell my children that the Biblical principles are femininity and modesty. Our application of that is modest dresses/skirts. However, not all Christians do things just like we do and that's between them and God. I can't condemn them, neither can I do things differently than God calls me to do.
ReplyDeleteWell said about the pants issue. Wish everyone would feel that way.
ReplyDeleteWould love to get to know you better, is that possible???
In Christ
